November is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Awareness Month.

Burning Hope will provide handmade, no-sew fleece blankets through The Blanket Project to children suffering from CRPS and other pain-afflicting diseases. These blankets will be sent to children in pain management programs at the Cleveland and Mayo Clinics and the Children's Hospitals of Philadelphia, Seattle, and Dallas.

Grab your friends, family, team, co-workers, organization, or school to make no-sew fleece blankets! You have the opportunity to help give these kids a sense of comfort and love during a difficult time in their lives.

Let’s Get Started

Here’s How

Make Blankets!

Supplies Needed:

  • 2 yards each of fleece fabric

    • One solid color

    • One fun print (boy or girl-friendly)

  • Ruler

  • Scissors or a rotary cutter

Instructions:

  • Place both pieces of fleece on top of each other, right sides facing out. Line up the edges and trim to the same size if needed.

  • Cut a 5” x 5” square out of each corner of the layered fabric.

  • Along all four sides, cut 5-inch long strips, about one inch wide each.

  • Take one strip from the top layer and one strip from the bottom layer and tie them together in a double knot. Repeat around the entire blanket.
